Meet our new Chairman of the Board

March 13, 2024 Presentation of Christian Svensson, Stålrör's new chairman of the board! We asked Christian a few questions regarding his thoughts on his new assignment for Stålrör.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?

I have worked in the steel industry throughout my professional career in various leading positions in companies such as Lindab and Plannja.
I am currently working as President and CEO of LLENTAB Group, a company that designs and builds halls in seven countries in Europe.
Once upon a time, I was educated as a mechanical engineer.
Privately, I live in Ängelholm, with my wife and two boys.

 

What attracted you to accept the assignment as Chairman of the Board at Stålrör?

After talking to the former chairman of the board, Magnus Grönborg, and the owner representative Julian Mahari, I got a very good and positive impression of Stålrör.
I hope to be able to contribute with my experience and knowledge from the steel industry.
Furthermore, it is also exciting to try to sit on the "other side of the table" as chairman of the board.

 

What potential and challenges do you see at Stålrör?

Developing the business and focusing on the right things are important. There are great opportunities at Stålrör, with a broad offering and with a high level of expertise among the staff.
Right now, there is a lot of turmoil in the world and recession, but it also creates great opportunities!

 

What will the focus be on in the coming year?

In the short term, I'm getting to know the company, so I don't have a really good answer yet.
